I'm Olivia, I'm so happy you're here! I guess you could say I was bit by the creative bug from conception...with a musician dad and a mom who is amazing at drawing it was inevitable that I would get some of those creative genes!

My Goal

To inspire you to find your own personal style and be confident in it. To not feel the need to follow every trend and instead create a home that truly reflects who you are and what you love...after all, if you can't feel safe and comfortable at home, where can you?

The Story Behind Me & DIY

Working with my hands is so calming, and while in the thick of struggling hard with anxiety and ocd I needed to do something that made me feel in control. At the same time I had big plans for personalizing our home but didn't have the budget to spend thousands on each room. So I picked up the tools, made my designs plans and learned new skills with each project I took on. DIY not only saved us SO MUCH money...it saved my mind. After years of hard work on myself, and my home, I am finally beginning to feel like me again.

My Current Project

We've recently moved from a 2600 square foot new build home into a 1500 square foot 42 year old home with a HUGE backyard. There are so many projects on my radar but up first: making the one bathroom in the house functional enough to be shared by all 5 of us.

steps to Creating a space

Functionality

a room that is pretty but doesn’t function well is a waste of space, imo

Form

form and function should work hand in hand. my brain cannot function with busy spaces. clean lines, minimalist-ish decor are my jam

Free Space

every square inch of a room doesn’t need to be filled right away. give the room space to breath and it will tell you soon enough what it needs

Fun

it’s home design, not aerospace engineering. having fun and adding elements that make you smile are more important that the finished product looking like a magazine
